These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SimpleMoney application and services. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

SimpleMoney is a personal finance management tool that allows you to track income, expenses, budgets, and net worth. All financial data is manually entered by you — we do not connect directly to bank accounts.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use SimpleMoney.

3. Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial. After the trial ends, you must subscribe to continue accessing the service.

4. Subscription & Billing

  • SimpleMoney is offered at $9/month or $89/year
  • Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not offer partial refunds for unused time in a billing period

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into SimpleMoney. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You can export your data at any time using the CSV export feature.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service
  • Share your account credentials with others

7. Disclaimer

SimpleMoney is a tracking and budgeting tool. It does not provide financial advice, tax guidance, or investment recommendations. Any calculations, projections, or estimates provided by the app (including AI-generated content) are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified financial professional for important financial decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

SimpleMoney is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses based on data or projections shown in the app.

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will result in permanent deletion of your data within 30 days.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
